May of this year saw the launch of a new cloud- based smart lighting system, ROBUS CONNECT. The system transforms interaction with domestic and commercial lighting. ROBUS CONNECT compatible products have built in Wi-Fi connectivity, meaning all that’s required is a wireless network and an internet connection to fully control any ROBUS CONNECT light fitting with the touch of a button using the ROBUS CONNECT App. There is no need for a hub.
The App controls the light fittings from anywhere, allows multiple users and is ideal for scheduling lights to on and off. A rapidly growing number of people are using Digital Assistant products domestically (18% of people in Ireland) use Assistants like Alexa, Siri or the Google-Assistant. ROBUS CONNECT products are compatible with these systems and you can use ROBUS CONNECT devices alongside any other smart products.
The ROBUS CONNECT range currently consists of:

- VEGAS CONNECT LED flexi- strip Single Colour, RGB and RGBW Controllers

Most home-owners will start dabbling with smart lighting products by first buying a smart lamp for their lamp or ceiling. The GLS CONNECT is available with Bayonet and Edison screw caps which allow the lamp to be used in fittings of UK and European origin. GLS CONNECT provides superior lighting performance and efficacy so it will replace and provide greater light than most traditional light sources whilst making over 90% energy saving.
The ULTIMUM CONNECT, a 7W, IP65, tuneable, fire rated downlight is a fantastic product which is colour temperature selectable (2700- 6500K), has a wide operating ambient temperature range of -20°C to +40°C and is designed and tested to retain the integrity of 30, 60- and 90-minute fire-rated ceilings so it is compliant with Building Regulations Parts B, C and E.
ROBUS VEGAS/PULSE LED flexi-strip lights are easily made Wi-Fi controllable by using the VEGAS CONNECT and/or PULSE CONNECT controllers. To coincide with the launch of the ROBUS CONNECT range, ROBUS Area Sales Representatives across Ireland are hosting training days for contractors and wholesalers. The training will demonstrate how easy it is to pair and control the ROBUS CONNECT fittings with the ROBUS CONNECT App.
