The Kedington Group established in 1989 have purchased the brand name ‘Kedington NI’ from the well known company KNI. In doing so, they have reunited their five offices across four provinces after 20 years in Dublin, Belfast, Derry, Cork and Limerick. They are now the only ICT company with an all Ireland coverage.
As a result of the purchase, Kedington have also secured employment for a large number of the experienced former KNI staff, increasing their workforce and delivery capabilities by 50% at the newly opened Duncrue site in Belfast. They are now the most formidable group of ICT professionals in Northern Ireland, offering the widest base of ICT solutions with access to engineers in their Ireland, UK, Germany and Denmark offices. Kedington (an ExcelRedstone company), recently moved into their purpose-built premises at Forty8 North, Duncrue Street, Belfast as part of a continuing development and growth plan.
The company completed a design and build project to create larger offices and a new trade counter in which to serve the growing demand for ICT networking, Data Centre and IoT Solutions, network switches, AV Solutions and components from their expanding customer base. The larger office space offers the opportunity for future growth of the company locally.
Due to Covid, a low-key official opening day was attended by ExcelRedstone’s CEO Barry Horgan, Kedington directors Matt Porter, Colm Lyons and part of the Belfast team including: Laurence Black, General Manager, Ronan Shiels, Dennis McTeggart, Brendan Dwyer, Luke Logan and Samantha McGrath. A larger event will be organised at a later stage when covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
