It’s exciting times at Beacon Fire & Security (NI) Ltd as the company continues to build upon its excellent reputation. The Lisburn based company provides a complete range of specialist fire and security services such as intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, access control solutions, public voice evacuation systems, nurse call systems, and intercom solutions.
Most recently at the company, Adam Smylie and Scott McNab competed in the ‘Engineers of Tomorrow’ 2019 competition and won their heat on the second day of the competition. Engineers of Tomorrow is an engineering competition between fire and security apprentices that takes place during IFSEC International at London ExCeL, which sees the next generation of security and fire engineers compete against each other in a live installation challenge. Adam and Scott will now go forward to compete in the Security & Fire Excellence Awards, which takes place on the 20th November 2019.
Scott and Adam’s success at Engineers of Tomorrow highlights the high quality workmanship that exists at Beacon Fire & Security. It also demonstrates the company’s commitment to employee development and the continued development of its young engineers. Recent projects completed by the company include the Kingspan Stadium, the City Quays and the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast. Situated on the former site of Windsor House, the 300-room hotel has benefitted from a £53million investment by the Hastings Hotels group. And protecting all of this is a bespoke security package from Beacon, again proving how the company’s tailored approach is so effective.

Following extensive customer renovation and upgrade at City Quays, Beacon not only completed this new project but also took over the maintenance and monitoring of the overall site.
In 2017, Beacon took over the maintenance of the fire and security systems at the home of Ulster Rugby, the Kingspan Stadium. The company has been protecting homes and businesses across Northern Ireland since 2003 and now boasts an impressive client base, from large shopping centres to electrical contractors, charities, national retailers and facilities management companies.
