The leading lighting manufacturer was tasked with designing and supplying a low energy lighting system for uForm’s impressive new 31,000sqft extension at the company’s headquarters in Toome.
As a multiple award-winning, market-leading manufacturer and supplier of kitchen doors and accessories, uForm has become one of Northern Ireland’s fastest growing companies in recent years, and this project has allowed Hilclare to showcase its progressive nature.
Steven McMurray, Hilclare Lighting’s Project Engineer for Northern Ireland, explained, “uForm is such a forward-thinking company, so we see it as a great reflection on our service that they opted for our lighting solution.
“Energy efficiency again was the key factor, but this had to be balanced with practicality within such a busy and extensive warehouse. The solution selected was our new Marchena luminaire with PIR detection, which has proved to be a successful choice.”
The Marchena luminaire is the latest product innovation from the dedicated development team at Hilclare and is specifically suitable for many warehouse and factory environments.
It is intended to directly replace a standard HID low bay fitting and is designed to be suspended or trunking mounted. The body is fabricated from mild steel and is finished white. Lens options include wide beam, narrow beam and racking types.
Steven added, “We are proud of our reputation as a manufacturer that is continually working to create better lighting, and the Marchena reflects that. Not only does it provide effective lighting but in the all-important energy efficient factor the use of multiple LED strips produce a very efficient lighting solution up to 140 luminaire lumens/W. We also have 82W and 123W power options available and, as with all our luminaires, we are able to manufacture bespoke options.”
