Zakky is a relation to Colin Brennan who works in the company’s East Belfast branch. He has Neuroblastoma Stage 4 which is an aggressive form of cancer and after going through all available treatment in Northern Ireland his family need to raise at least £134,000 to enable Zak to have further treatment in Michigan.
YESSS staff have rallied to the cause with those in the regional office completing a sponsored walk from Belfast to Bangor, a supplier breakfast morning, supplier promotional fund and personal donations from suppliers and staff raising an amazing £4,325.
Gareth Brennan and the main man himself, Zak , attended the regional office in December to be presented with the cheque.
Many people contributed and special thanks go to the following suppliers – J&T Ballentine, Bosch, Core Electrical, Eurocables , ESD, Fitzgerald Lighting, Fire NI, Hellermann Tyton, Schneider, Specialist Lamps & Gear, Unitrunk, and Vent Axia .
Thanks also to regional office staff for providing the catering and to the many YESSS Electrical staff and customers who gave personal donations or helped out in any way .
The Brennan family would like to express their gratitude to everyone involved in this and all the other fundraising events taking place province-wide . Fundraising continues and Zak has now been to Michigan for the first of many trips due to occur over the next two years .
