Marking the latest addition to its data centre solutions, Eastern Electrical has secured sole distribution rights for Bachmann monitoring and control systems and Basor containment systems.
Operating a network of 15 locations throughout Ireland, the electrical wholesale distributor opened a new Project & Export Office at its Ballymount headquarters in early 2023.
The new department enhances traceability and efficiency by consolidating orders, technical paperwork and certification for data centre projects carried out by Irish contractors abroad.

Bachmann monitoring and control systems
Among ranges supplied by Bachmann are its BlueNet intelligent product series, Essentials Collection of core functional and architectural power solutions for the workspace and OCHNO meeting room systems. Founded in 1947, the Stuttgart-based firm offers more than 2,500 power products manufactured at factories in Germany, Romania and China.
BlueNet is a complete range of solutions for rack-based power distribution in data centres, using smart functions to lower energy consumption.
Residual current monitoring detects issues at an early stage to prevent downtime and increase data centre availability, while surge protection devices help users avoid equipment damage from spikes and surges. OCHNO Systems, meanwhile, helps users create smart, user-friendly meeting rooms. Occupants can switch between their own devices and the permanently installed conference system, share media content seamlessly and charge their devices with just one cable.
Basor Electric containment systems
