Here are just three examples:
1. The Spartan LED Zone 1 High Power Flood from Raytec is designed for hazardous environments which require high performance, high reliability, white light illumination. Using Raytec’s eld-proven, long-life LED technology Spartan Floods are ATEX and IEC Ex approved for all Zone 1 applications. Available in a range of different beam patterns, they deliver the ultimate flexibility to specifiers and end- users.
Spartan uses CoolExtrudeTM thermal management technology, ensuring a much cooler LED operating temperature and up to 60% better heat dissipation compared to traditional lighting solutions, allowing the product to operate for more than 10 years while still delivering a high lumen output of up to 23,000 lumens.
Spartan High Power Flood is also designed with maintenance in mind. A unique modular design allows key components to be easily accessed and serviced, if required, making inspection and maintenance quicker and easier. It also allows for the most flexible installation.
2. The Gamma Floodlight/Lowbay from Abtech is an LED floodlight/lowbay suitable for use in Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust) hazardous areas. The Gamma utilises high output LED modules that combine to provide a crisp and consistently uniform white light.
The luminaire enclosure is constructed from marine grade stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and is designed to operate at a wide range of ambient temperatures (-30 to +55 degrees C). The luminaire also features a rear- mounted termination enclosure for simple installation. Designed for the rigours of hazardous area operation, the Gamma LEDfloodlight features built-in harmonic and overvoltage protection. Abtech Ex-rated LED luminaires minimise ongoing maintenance and are supported by Abtech’s complete ve-year system warranty.
3. The G2X LED from Technor is manufactured from high quality materials that guarantee long product life – and is used where a ‘lighter duty’ LED linear luminaire is required. This explosion-proof luminaire can be used anywhere that there is an atmosphere with risk of an explosion – Zones 2 and 22 – indoors or ‘under-shelter’ outdoors. Housed in compressed glass-fibre reinforced polyester (in graphite black or pale grey, illustrated) the G2X features a polyurethane gasket for IP66 rating, a gear tray made of white lacquered steel plate with stainless steel clips and two integrated gear tray holders to allow suspension and to carry its connection to the mains.
With various mounting possibilities on ceiling or wall, the G2X is easy and fast to install – with fixing by means of stainless steel clamps (so there is no need for housing perforations) that enable easy mounting and dismounting.
