The pliers are made of solid plastic, reinforced with fibreglass and protect against bridging while reducing the risk of short circuits. Both sets of pliers are VDE tested, so installers can use these sturdy, high quality pliers on live parts up to AC 1000V and DC 1500V.
While the pliers have been predominately designed for safe use on live parts, they are useful in other ways. For example, they are excellent for chemically aggressive environments and can be used in temperatures up to -40°C. They have also been designed with ease of use in mind, with a soft plastic zone on the ergonomically designed handles for user comfort.
Designed for meter assembly and meter blocking, the Snipe Nose Pliers are 220mm long and weigh 130g while the Flat Nose Pliers are 180mm long and weigh 120g.
