Located at Unit 27 North Park, North Road, Dublin 11, Kellihers newest branch in Finglas opened in November 2016 and since then, has continued to attract new customers through its extensive product range.
“The new branch is situated just North West of Dublin so it’s an excellent location for us. We’re very happy with the performance of the new branch and we’re working hard to build on the success we’ve had so far. The opening of the new branch is helping us serve our customers better and we believe that shows our commitment to being the best electrical wholesaler in Ireland,” says Brian Sugrue, Marketing Manager at Kellihers.
Establishing a presence in Finglas was a strategic move for Kellihers, who sees the upturn in the construction sector as having a positive effect on this part of the city.
“We were firstly looking to set up in an area where we didn’t have a branch but as well as that, we believe we’ll see a significant amount of housebuilding activity in this area over the coming years. Establishing the Finglas branch was a very deliberate move to position ourselves to the forefront of this activity and to ensure we’re the number one wholesaler in Dublin,” says Brian. Five members of staff ensure customers are satisfied with the expert service they receive and with a vast range of products on display at the branch’s impressive trade counter, customers are guaranteed to leave with the right products for the job.
“Customer service is our number one priority, six days a week. All our staff receive the highest standard of training. We have staff members across the country that have been with us for many years and in fact, Derek Wright, the branch manager in Finglas had previously been the branch manager in Portlaoise.
“He lived in Dublin so managing the Finglas branch was a move that suited both him and us. Derek has a wealth of experience in the sector; he ran his own lighting business before joining Kellihers so we know the new branch is in very safe hands.”
Product availability is also something Kellihers places a huge emphasis on across all 21 branches. If a customer is looking for a product that’s unavailable, staff can contact one of the other branches to check its availability.
“If we don’t have an item in one branch, which is an unlikely event, we’ll nearly always have it in another and we’ll strive to ensure the customer has it within the day. Our aim is to ensure we get the customer the product they need, no matter what.”
Kellihers will only deal with reputable suppliers and stocks a wide range of products including lighting, cables, wiring accessories and renewable energy. The new Finglas branch is packed with leading industry brands from Schneider, Philips, GE, Dimplex, Robus, Ansell plus the company’s own LUG and Gigamedia brands.
Alongside its renewable energy offering, Kellihers Finglas also offers communication, data and security specialist advice as well as expert lighting advice, add-ons that help the branch stand out from the crowd.
“At the moment, we’re preparing for the winter season. We stock an extensive range of LED lighting products along with a range of heating products including PV panels and heating controls. These products are currently proving very popular; we maintain excellent relationships with our suppliers so customers can be assured that the product they want will nearly always be in stock.”
With so much construction activity going on around Dublin, Kellihers is busier than ever.
“There is plenty of work going on around the capital and that growth is starting to branch out around the rest of the country. We’re noticing that work outside Dublin is definitely slower, but we think that this will increase as the rest of the country catches up with Dublin.”
