Back in 1995, John Irwin did more than just dream about owning his own business; instead he used the bedroom of his Armagh home as a base for a fledging commercial electrical contractor.
Two decades on from those humble beginnings and the company continues to go from strength to strength, successfully working across the UK and Ireland delivering new installation alongside maintenance and electrical testing services. The company has also delved into the growing energy market, helping customers to become more energy efficient and cost effective by using the latest technological advances.
Company founder, John Irwin, is now Chairman of Irwin Electrical, with Keith Stewart as Managing Director and a management team consisting of Richard Megarity, Operations Director; Mark Whaley, Commercial Director; and Chris Adams, Contracts Director. However, as Keith explains, it is the combined efforts of the entire team that have ensured the company remains successful.
“We have a lot of experience right through the company and that consistency has allowed us to develop strong relationships with customers,” he said. “We are competitive on price and we provide high quality services, but I feel it is that personal touch that sets us apart. We go the extra mile and think long-term and this has all helped to ensure we are in a prime position to look ahead confidently.”
