Atex Limited is harnessing the skills and expertise of its expanding team with the launch of a new dedicated line of cable management solutions.
An established supplier of EX equipment and safety products to its portfolio of longstanding customers and partners, Atex Limited now also offers a comprehensive range of cable management solutions including conduits, trunking, junction boxes and accessories from stalwart brands such as Univolt, Unex, JSL and Eaton Capri.
Conor Neenan stepped into the role of Managing Director of the Irish-established and family-run business in 2021, signifying a new era of growth and innovation.
Marking the new chapter, Atex Limited was delighted to add Alan Brown to the team in 2023, heading up Sales and Distribution. With more than 35 years’ experience in the electrical industry, Alan offers exceptional product expertise and knowledge of emerging technologies to advance its new product offering.
Atex Limited’s new sister brand, AX Distribution, will supply a competitive and high-quality range of rounds, ovals, mini and maxi trunkings, and its ever-popular single and twin surface boxes, with more products coming throughout 2024 including floor boxes, time clocks and more.
The dedicated range of products from leading global manufacturers will be offered at a competitive price, cutting out middlemen, and will service all cable management needs.
Alan Brown, Head of Sales Distribution at Atex Limited, said, “We see our journey into cable management as an exciting diversification from our original product focus.
“Although we have already branched out into more traditional electrical supply markets, we have identified a clear gap in the market with respect to local cable management supply, which we are very keen to tackle and develop with our partners.”

One of two core divisions, Project Specification Group focuses on designing and supplying lighting, emergency lighting, lighting control solutions and electrical equipment to pharmaceutical, food and beverage, data centre and industrial clients across Europe.
Atex Limited’s original business unit, meanwhile, is focused on distribution of industrial electrical equipment and lighting to the Irish wholesale market.
Since its foundation in 1996, it has been the official agent for Ceag, which manufactures Atex equipment and life safety systems. Atex Limited is also the official agent for Hawke Hazardous Area cable glands for Ireland.
