Greentech expands presence: new Dundalk branch targets ROI’s renewables

EEL Greentech, a leading player in the renewables business, has marked a significant milestone with the opening of EWL Greentech, in Dundalk, ROI.

Established in 2013, as part of Electrical Equipment, Greentech expanded its operations in October 2022 with the launch of an independent business in Belfast. Now, with the inauguration of its standalone Dundalk branch on December 1, 2023, the company is strategically positioning itself to cater specifically to the growing renewable energy market in ROI.

Jake Keyworth, Manager for both Greentech branches, told Ireland’s Electrical Magazine, “The ROI renewables market has experienced significant growth over the past two to three years, and we expect this trend to persist. To meet the increasing demand, we strategically opened the Dundalk branch, trading in euros and providing closer proximity and expanded stock capacity for our ROI customer base.

“This move enables us to adopt a more focused approach in servicing the south of Ireland, expanding from the previous model of servicing it from Belfast.”

Greentech’s stock holdings in Dundalk amount to €3.5m, complemented by approximately £5m in Belfast. This dual-branch strategy allows the company to maintain a flexible stock value between £4 and 8m.

“This reflects our commitment to staying ahead in the market and offering our customers early access to beneficial products,” added Jake.

The Dundalk branch, occupying a spacious 16,000sqft facility, is a testament to Greentech’s substantial investment of £275,000 in refurbishments. “This expansion allows us to house substantial stock levels with potential for further growth.”

To support its operations, Greentech plans to employ 10 staff members with a primary focus on enhancing customer service.
