Vaughan Engineering’s electrical apprentice, Troy McConville, brings home a first from European Athletics Promotion meet.

Troy McConville, one of Vaughan Engineering Group’s electrical apprentices, was victorious in his event at the European Athletics Promotion held in Hexham, UK in June.

He finished first and scored an overall points total of 6,957 competing in: 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500m.

A spokesperson from Vaughan Engineering Group said, “Not only is Troy working full time and progressing very well through his apprenticeship, but he is also achieving fantastic results in his sport.

“We are incredibly proud of Troy’s talent and we look forward to continuing to support him through his competitions.”
