Energia teams up with Odeon Cinemas

Under the terms of a new energy deal, Energia will supply electricity to three Odeon cinemas around Ireland, with Castletroy in Limerick, Dublin’s Point Village and the group’s new cinema at Charlestown, Dublin 11 set to benefit from the scheme.

Energia’s Daniel Wolverson, said, “We are confident that Odeon Cinemas will get real savings from this new electricity deal with Energia. They join over 60,000 Irish businesses that have chosen Energia for their electricity and gas supply. Energia’s ‘Cash for Kilowatts’ scheme also provides funding to companies for energy efficiency projects. It means that any company spending more than €5,000 on an energy efficiency project can qualify for funding of up to 30% of the project value. The new scheme is open to all businesses, whether or not they are customers of Energia.”

As well as benefitting from the generous funding, businesses will also make very significant ongoing savings through the energy efficiency projects. For example – LED and high efficiency lighting can reduce lighting costs by up to 75%; a new boiler or heating controls can save over 25% of annual fuel costs; and new refrigeration systems can reduce costs by up to 30%.
