ELECTEX Dublin brings electric atmosphere back to the city

The RDS Simmonscourt once again hosted ELECTEX DUBLIN on 6 and 7 September when temperatures where hitting a record high in Ireland. The weather didn’t by any means discourage the trade as this year witnessed a significant increase in visitors compared to the previous year, reaffirming the RDS as ELECTEX DUBLIN’s preferred venue.

ELECTEX co-located once again with sister event, PLUMBEX, which presented the most extensive collection of M&E solutions nationwide. Approximately 70% of attendees were installers and contractors, many of whom returned to visit ELECTEX Dublin in its new home for the second time.

Visitors had the opportunity to engage with over 200 experts from leading manufacturers and suppliers in both domestic and commercial electrical sectors. Additionally, they could take advantage of exclusive show offers, witness live demonstrations, and, of course, enjoy freebies and samples.

During the two days, exhibitors at the show gathered more than 1,900 leads. Many noted ELECTEX a great success and an invaluable opportunity to connect with customers and end-users.

ELECTEX DUBLIN 2023 featured a dedicated Trade Talks Area, where visitors were able to learn more about the latest topics in the industry’s agenda.

Celebrated CEF TechTalk presenters Darren Staniforth and Dave Austin explained how to follow the requirements of the National Rules for Electrical Installations when it comes to installing generator sets such as PV solar panels. The electrical duo also discussed how to install batteries using islanding mode according to ROI standards.

A great number of visitors also attended “Unveiling Electrical Certification: Your Safety with Safe Electric”, a presentation by Technical Manager Dave Butler on certification rules and procedures, and the crucial role provided by Safe Electric, the organisation responsible for the regulation of the activities of electrical contractors in the Republic of Ireland concerning safety.

EIFI president back at ELECTEX Dublin 2023

Gabriel Byrne, President of the Electrical Federation of Ireland (EIFI) and member of the Lighting Europe Executive Board, was in attendance once again to celebrate ELECTEX Dublin. A long-standing member of the lighting business community in Ireland, Gay enjoyed the opportunity to meet old friends and see first-hand the latest innovations in the sector. “The exhibitors have really outdone themselves with great displays and superb demonstrations,” he commented. “ELECTEX was very well-organised and attended. It represents a huge contribution to the electrical industry.”

Numerous exhibitors are already making plans to reserve stands for 2024, which will be held in Limerick on 26-27 March and in Dublin on 11-12 September and we are looking forward to see you all again.
