Demesne Electrical Acquisition by Swedish Multinational OEM

Irish firm Demesne Electrical has been bought over by OEM International in a business deal to further develop and grow the existing Demesne business.

The acquisition aims to gradually strengthen the customer offering while maintaining its very strong position in the Irish market.

With headquarters in Dublin, Demesne Electrical, a distributor of industrial electrical equipment has an annual revenue of €20 million. The company has branch offices in Cork and Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.

Announcing the deal, OEM said the company had a “strong product portfolio based on long partnerships with many of Europe’s leading manufacturers.”

Demesne is owned by three directors, Paul Fitzsimons, Chris McKenna and David Williamson. The business was founded in 1977 by brothers Noel and Cyril McLoughlin.

No price has been disclosed regarding the business deal.
