Core completes high-profile office building projects across Ireland

ALLSTATE NI – BELFAST
Core worked with consultant engineering firm, William & Shaw, and electrical contractor, Michael Nugent Ltd, to supply Allstate NI’s new 13,000sqm, five-storey Belfast headquarters, with reliable and seamless underfloor to desk power integration. As the largest IT employer in Northern Ireland, the Allstate provides software development services and business solutions for its US insurance parent company. Offering excellent price-quality ratio and unbeatable delivery times, Core supplied a complete underfloor to desk solution, including three phase Betatrak underfloor busbar, slab boxes, floor grommets and Rotasoc modular desk power and data modules from manufacturing partner CMD Ltd. Core also provided logistical support – organising timely on-site deliveries and proficient after- sales and technical support. The result is an electrical installation which effectively and safely brings the power where it is needed within the building. Speaking about his experience dealing with the Core Belfast team on this project, Aaron Riley, Contracts Manager at Michael Nugent Ltd, “Core provided Michael Nugent with a first-class service from initial design through to the delivery of a quality system. I can’t thank the team enough.” Allstate NI also benefits from the Jigsaw warranty – a 5-year system package warranty developed by Core and CMD for the all-Ireland market that is applicable on each product supplied as part of the underfloor to desk solution.

5 HANOVER QUAY – DUBLIN
Core worked with consulting engineer, Ethos Engineering, and electrical contractor, Suir Engineering, to deliver a modern electrical installation to this prestigious high-end 7-storey building, providing 15,000sqm of office space, located in the vibrant Grand Canal Dock area of Dublin city. Core supplied a modular wiring system from Wieland Electric coupled with a lighting control system from Delmatic and a complete underfloor to desk power system package from CMD Ltd, including 63A Betatrak underfloor busbar system, floor boxes, cleaner hives, floor grommets and Conti under desk modules. The plug & play modular wiring components are supplied pre-assembled and pre-tested to provide ease of installation on site and flexibly for future modifications. The lighting control system is based on a DALI open protocol combined with modular designs. This allows a decentralised building automation via plug & play that is easy to engineer and install and provides total flexibility to the users. With quality products and premium support services, Core delivered a turnkey solution, including quality products and premium support services, which is fast and simple to install and therefore results in major programme acceleration. It also contributes to helping the client achieve LEED Gold Certification and building energy Rating A3 – reaching all the environmental and user comfort objectives of today’s modern office buildings and offering convenience and performance in one touch.
