BM Electrical clicks onto new customers

The launch of an ebay shop has proved to be a major success for the award-winning electrical wholesaler

BM Electrical Wholesale’s Ebay Shop is proving to be a major success that is helping to make the company’s 25th anniversary year one of the best on record.

Launched earlier this year as part of a significant investment programme, the online service provides customers with greater access to group stock levels that are in excess of £1million. The service is enhanced through the launch of a new-look website and Facebook page that proves that, while the company is renowned for traditional levels of service, it still has an innovative streak.

“This is all about connecting with a new customer base,” explained Ken Robinson, Managing Director. “We are always looking at ways to innovate and improve and moving into the digital age of e-commerce has proved to be an important step forward for us. “Of course, we will continue to meet our customers’ demands either on the phone or at the trade counter, but now they can connect with us at any time – 24/7.”

The launch of the Ebay Shop has expanded the company’s customer base beyond BM Electrical Wholesale’s branches in Coleraine, Ballymena and L’Derry to offer high quality electrical products at competitive prices to those working across the UK, Ireland and now internationally. With the inclusion of a messaging service on the Ebay Shop, customers can still benefit from the company’s technical expertise. Postage and packaging is free within the UK while prices for deliveries to Ireland and the rest of the world are available on request. BM Electrical Wholesale also offers a next-day delivery service within the UK and Ireland at an extra cost. In order to retain the company’s reputation for reliability, an investment into electronic POD signature software and electronic stock take systems provides the team at BM Electrical Wholesale with accurate, up-to-the minute stock levels.

“The success of the Ebay Shop has brought us a new range of customers and that has certainly tested our stock levels, but we couldn’t be happier with its success,” concluded Ken.
