70 RT HP hits the market

Leading electrical solutions manufacturer GEWISS has launched a new and improved range of its popular rotary isolators, offering a wider range of codes and special features that are already creating a buzz.

70 RT HP (High Performance) is a new range of surface mounted rotary isolators designed for use as main switches for applications that need to be isolated from the network. This range complements GEWISS IEC 309 High Performance range of plugs and sockets.

The devices are available with plastic or metal boxes, in versions from 16A to 160A. Reducing installation time and providing the ultimate solution in terms of safety and strength, the new range of isolators are available in both control and emergency versions with a variety of poles – 2P, 3P, 3P+N or 4P.

The range includes panel mounted options for front-panel or DIN rail (EN50022) assembly in 16 to 63A options, all of which can be equipped with auxiliary contacts. This means the range is extremely flexible as it can be installed in any of GEWISS’ enclosures and distribution boards.

These devices have been designed to reduce wiring time, simplifying installation and offer maximum safety and durability, even in the most demanding conditions. The innovative protection level – up to IP69 against the ingress of dust and water jets – means the 70 RT HP isolators range meet the most demanding requirements, even heavy-duty ones. 70 RT HP is ideal for a wide variety of applications including industrial kitchens, air conditioning systems, lifts, technical rooms, modular buildings and even for the most heavy-duty applications. With a modern and ergonomic design, the range fits in perfectly with the entire Gewiss industrial system and offers high impact resistance at IK08, UV protection and protection against chemicals. With an innovative and unique degree of protection of IP66/IP67/ IP69 protecting the product from dust and liquid ingress, GEWISS says the 70 RT HP switch isolators are ideal even for the most demanding applications, thanks to their high level of mechanical resistance.

The new range also features ergonomically-designed switches that are hardwearing and ideal for heavy-duty applications. The padlocking system, concealed within the switches, will take up to three padlocks and can be locked in both On and Off positions in the command versions (in the emergency version the switch can only be locked in the OFF position).

More technical features have also been introduced to the range including dual metric entry points top and bottom, external fixing points for surface-mounting and plenty of internal space for cable wiring.

Optional N/O N/C auxiliary contacts make them suitable for a wide variety of applications.

GEWISS 70 RT HP is available from leading electrical wholesalers.
